A Good War
The Herald-Sun Thursday, July 17, 2003
The invasion of Iraq was successful. Regime change was achieved. The Iraqis are better off. The world is better off. The war-caused deaths are much fewer than the Saddam-caused deaths. But Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) have not yet been found. And some use this to knock the courageous action taken by politicians and soldiers.
If WMDs are found, are the knockers going to apologise for their attempt to invalidate the war effort? I''ll bet they don''t. And if there really are no WMDs left, why did Saddam try so hard to make us think there were?
