Yin and Yang

I agree with Pamela Bone (Sunday Forum, 16/6) that the best regimes are ruled by a combination of males and females. The balance of yin and yang produces a saner and fairer society.
But it does not follow that you will end up with the same numbers of males and females in all professions. Men will always dominate in defence. Women will always dominate in baby care. It's nice when you get a bit of the opposite, but its exceptional.
What about the bear pit of parliament? Well, who knows? All we can do is make sure there is equal access and always give the best person the job.
