Andrew Pheasant (Letters 3/10) protests that Dr Kemp’s new school funding policy will “subsidise the education of the wealthy”.
Does this mean we should now hit the many millionaires who are getting free education in state-run schools?
Andrew, like many people, seems unaware that the highest income earners using independent schools will only get 13.7% of normal school funding, while wealthy state school users will still get 100%.
In fact, the new scheme still massively protects the state-run operation from parent choice.
