Your figures (27 May ) revealing the millions that private schools get in government funding look sensational. But they would fizzle into insignificance if you printed alongside them the taxpayers’ dollars spent on similar-sized government-run schools. Some of these are patronised by very well-off communities which are not even exposed to the SES means-test.
